"Futbol" is a song that Maryla Rodowicz sang in 1974, it was chosen as the Official Anthem of the 1974 World Cup and it was performed during the opening ceremony of the football world championship in Germany. The lyrics are written by Jonasz Kofta, and the music by Leszek Bogdanowicz.
The song was already awarded: in the vote for the Soccer Hit of All Time, organized on the occasion of Euro 2016, it won the first place.
In the ranking published by the German daily "Der Tagesspiegel" "Futbol" defeated incl. "El Mundial" by Ennio Morricone, "Gloryland" by Daryl Hall and "Live it up" by Nicky Jama, Will Smith and Era Istrefi.
