The Official anthem of Akwa United is written and composed by Mr Joel Abel.
Akwa United Football Club is a Nigerian football club based in Uyo. They play in the Nigerian Professional Football League, Godswill Akpabio International Stadium is the club's home stadium.
The anthem was unanimously endorsed by a Five-Man panel which was headed by the Head of Music Department, University of Uyo Dr. Isaac Udoh. The panel was set up by the management of the club to assess entries that were submitted by interested members of the public.
The anthem will be sung by the players, fans and supporters of the club during matches.
